DESIGN & FURNITURE PHOTOGRAPHY
I study each piece carefully to understand its form and find its most natural and resolved position. Small adjustments in angle or placement can completely transform how an object is perceived, and I take time to ensure it sits comfortably and with clarity.
Whether working in the studio or on location, I consider how the piece relates to its surroundings, allowing space, balance and proportion to give it presence. I then shape the light with precision to reveal material, structure and detail, allowing the piece to fully articulate its design.
I have photographed important works by designers including Lucie Rie and Hans Coper, as well as significant examples of twentieth-century and contemporary collectible design.
